Be a team from the start – how puppies discover the human world
‘It is important for a puppy to be understood by ‘his’ people and to be able to read us humans - learning to understand us’. That is the essence of an interview with Claudia Mayr published in the first issue of ‘tierisch geheilt’. If you’ve decided to get a dog, you need to make sure that he has lots of positive experiences in his first months with you. That’s the basis for a great relationship between a person and his dog.

Trust and respect – dogs lots of love and consistency
It’s a long way from the first contact with the puppy to having a relationship based on trust and relaxed and respectful co-existence. Claudia Mayr stresses in her second interview in ‚tieriesch geheilt’ that it is easier for the dog to get to know me, than the reverse. During 24 hours he has nothing else to do, but to watch me and look out for strengths and weaknesses. By consistently applying some conduct rules, you will make living with your dog much easier and become a great team.
